What the sitting will do

  1. Catch. Returns as recovery, refurbishment and fuel. Pilbara remains a proposed industrial coast — port and heavy industry exist. It is not a selected site.
  2. Analogue. Marsbase Down Under is a vision name for dirt on this continent, not a slab on Mars, and not a named pad we inherit.
  3. Local brain. CrystalCore: labelled messages, fail-closed consent, memory kept off the model. Designed. Not an orbital GPU.
  4. Country in the body. Traditional Owners first if a place is named. We do not copy environmental waivers written for other dirt.

White House NSPM-17 (20 August 2026) sets a United States target of more than 1,000 launches and reentries on American soil each year by 2030. That paper does not name Australia.
